You hear about it happening, but you never really think it's going to happen to you! No ... I havent won the lottery (darn it!) but I have had my washer/dryer scrapped by John Lewis and a new one promised! Woohoo!
I simply rang to arrange yet ANOTHER visit by an engineer, and was told that's it, enough's enough! It's just not viable to repair your machine any more! A letter will be sent out in 7-10 days giving you authorisation for you to choose another one - like for like.
Bloomin' 'eck, that's great, I thought, but 7-10 days ... can you imagine how the washing will pile up in that time (of course you can) but hey! The letter turned up the next day .... I went down and chose one today ... it's being delivered Wednesday AND they're taking the old one away! Holy macaroni!
